Job Summary
Lead and manage multiple client PR programs and accounts with a high degree of autonomy, guiding day-to-day work for various clients, and serving as a primary client contact. Develop and oversee comprehensive PR programs, including implementation plans, evaluation mechanisms, and staffing strategies. Build and maintain strong client relationships, anticipate needs, proactively resolve challenges, and communicate effectively across client organizations. Demonstrate strong media relations and influencer networks, provide insightful PR counsel, and direct the development of diverse PR materials in English and Chinese. Drive organic account growth, pursue new business opportunities, and deliver strong analyses, strategies, and concepts for pitches. Exhibit leadership in budgeting, financial forecasting, billing, and ensuring billability targets, while maintaining a strategic, proactive, and growth-oriented mindset. Maintain a high level of strategic planning, creative problem-solving, and familiarity with digital and emerging media trends to deliver impactful campaigns across culture and business.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Translation, or related disciplines
- Minimum 5-8 years of relevant PR, marketing, or agency experience; fewer years considered for Senior Associate roles
- Account leadership and management: independently lead/manage multiple client accounts or projects
- Strategic program development: develop, oversee, and execute comprehensive PR programs with implementation plans, evaluation mechanisms, and staffing strategies
- Client relationship management: build and maintain strong client relationships, anticipate needs, resolve challenges, ensure team understanding of client dynamics
- Media & influencer savvy: strong media relations strategy with established networks
- Presentation & counseling: exceptional presentation skills with leadership presence and ability to provide PR counsel
- Content & communication mastery: directing development of PR materials with excellent English and Chinese writing
- Financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, billing, and billability targets
- Business development: lead organic account growth, pursue new business opportunities, deliver analyses, strategies, and pitches
- Analytical & creative problem-solving: strategic planning, creative thinking, solving complex problems, challenging status quo
- Digital & emerging media literacy: familiarity with multimedia production and emerging trends
- Proactive & growth-oriented: self-starter with proactive attitude and desire to grow skills and network
