Job Summary
Conduct product direction and solution design for Workday Talent Management platforms, translating business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and release plans. Partner with COE subject matter experts, HR, and vendors to prioritize requirements, manage dependencies, and drive initiatives from discovery through launch. Configure, test, and maintain capabilities supporting performance, succession, and employee development while evaluating Workday releases and recommending enhancements. Facilitate user acceptance testing, maintain agile delivery boards, and communicate complex topics to diverse global stakeholders. Requires 3 days in-office presence, 5-10% travel, and digital fluency with Generative AI tools.
Required Qualifications
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor's degree
- 2 years of work experience with an advanced degree (e.g., Master's, MBA, JD, MD)
- 0 years of experience with a PhD
- Visa requires at least 3 days in office
- Travel 5-10% of the time
- 2+ years' experience configuring Workday Talent Management modules including performance & talent reviews, feedback, Career Hub, succession planning
- Experience with Workday business processes, custom reports, security, calculated fields, EIBs, and dashboards
- 3+ years' total Workday configuration or technical HRIS experience
- Experience supporting Talent Management processes in a global organization
- Exceptional communication and customer-facing skills; able to interact effectively with diverse groups of global stakeholders, both technical and business users
- Experience working with Jira and familiarity with Agile delivery methods
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships, actively listen, and deliver customer-focused solutions
- Strong follow-through and ability to drive resolution of complex system issues
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
- All roles require digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday work
- Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements
- Ability to evaluate tradeoffs, prioritize enhancements, and drive delivery of solutions
- Ability to develop a deep understanding of user needs
- Ability to partner closely with Talent Management stakeholders, HR, IT, vendors, and cross-functional partners
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse global stakeholders across technical and business functions
- Ability to facilitate user acceptance testing, including test case development, execution, documentation, and feedback synthesis
- Ability to contribute to overall test strategies for talent modules
- Ability to evaluate Workday releases, assess impact, and recommend enhancements
- Ability to maintain and update the agile delivery board to support sprint planning and execution
Desired Qualifications
- 6 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree
- 4 or more years with an advanced degree
- Up to 3 years with a PhD
- Workday Pro Certification(s) in Talent modules preferred
