Job Summary
Consultant Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist leading the Pediatric Cardiac ICU (PCICU) hospital service in Dubai. Responsibilities include pre-operative stabilization and optimization, post-operative care after congenital heart surgery, management of interventional cardiology cases, ECMO, mechanical ventilation, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring. Lead daily PCICU rounds, coordinate multidisciplinary care plans, interpret echocardiography and hemodynamic studies, and provide on-call coverage for pediatric cardiac emergencies. Drive program development, clinical pathways, quality improvement, and mentorship of junior physicians and nursing staff. Engage families in decision-making, support long-term care planning, and contribute to research, audits, and CME programs. Requires MD/MBBS, board certification with fellowship in Pediatric Cardiac ICU, 8–10 years post-specialization experience, DHA licensure eligibility, and strong leadership and communication skills. English fluency is required; Arabic is an advantage.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Degree (MD/MBBS) from a recognized institution
- Board Certification in Pediatric Critical Care, Pediatric Cardiology, or Pediatric Anesthesiology with fellowship training in Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care
- Minimum 8–10 years of post‐specialization experience, including consultant‐level practice in a high‐volume cardiac center
- Eligibility for Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Consultant licensure
- Strong leadership, communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
- Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage
