Job Summary
Consultant Paediatrician role in regional Western Australia offering permanent and fixed-term opportunities with full-time, part-time, and sessional options. Based at a major regional health campus to provide specialist paediatric and neonatal services across the region, including outreach; responsibilities include acute and chronic paediatric care, neonatal and emergency presentations, teaching and supervision of junior medical staff, clinical governance, and service improvement. Requires FRACP or equivalent, eligibility for Specialist Registration with AHPRA, and experience supervising junior staff; SIMGs must have RACP assessment outcome of Substantially Comparable. Relocation assistance available; competitive total package up to $523k p.a. includes base salary, superannuation, and regional allowances; flexible working arrangements considered.
Required Qualifications
- FRACP (Paediatrics & Child Health) or equivalent
- Eligible for Specialist Registration with AHPRA
- Strong interest in neonatal and developmental paediatrics
- Experience supervising and mentoring junior staff
- Commitment to culturally respectful healthcare delivery
- Specialist International Medical Graduates (SIMGs) must have a RACP assessment outcome of “Substantially Comparable” due to supervision limitations
