Job Summary
Consultant Paediatrician role based in Regional Western Australia (Perth vicinity) offering Full-Time clinical leadership across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and neonatal settings with outreach to surrounding regional and remote communities. You will provide high-quality paediatric and neonatal care, participate in on-call duties, lead and mentor junior doctors, support service improvement and governance, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and uphold culturally safe care for Aboriginal children and families. Requires FRACP in Paediatrics (or equivalent) and AHPRA Specialist Registration (or eligibility), with strong expertise across paediatric medicine and interest in neonatal care, developmental paediatrics, and community health. A passion for regional practice and teaching, supervising, and mentoring is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Paediatrics (or equivalent)
- AHPRA Specialist Registration (or eligibility to obtain)
- Strong expertise in acute and chronic paediatric medicine
- Experience and interest in neonatal care, developmental paediatrics, and community health
- Leadership, teaching, supervising and mentoring junior doctors
- Commitment to improving health outcomes for First Nations children
- Willingness to work in regional/remote settings and deliver outreach services
