Job Summary
Consultant Ophthalmologist (Glaucoma) responsible for diagnosing and managing all glaucoma types, performing comprehensive evaluations (visual fields, OCT, gonioscopy, IOP), providing medical, laser, and surgical treatments including trabeculectomy, MIGS, and glaucoma drainage devices, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The role emphasizes advanced glaucoma diagnostics, complex case management, medical education for patients and families, participation in quality improvement, research, and CME activities, within a DOH-regulated Abu Dhabi healthcare setting.
Required Qualifications
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi
- Board Certification / Fellowship in Ophthalmology with subspecialty training in Glaucoma
- Valid DOH Consultant License or Eligibility Letter in Ophthalmology
- Minimum 5–7 years of post-specialist experience in glaucoma management and surgery
- Expertise in advanced glaucoma diagnostics and surgical procedures
