Job Summary

Serve as a subject-matter expert for Charles River Investment Management Solution (CRIMS) implementation and upgrade projects. Analyze client requirements, configure the solution, and train clients to ensure they are prepared for go-live. Educate clients on CRIMS functionality, document product enhancements, and communicate defects to Technical Support for resolution. Contribute to software quality by validating fixes and identifying documentation errors. Assist the Professional Services team by developing and sharing best practices while mentoring colleagues. This role requires 2–3+ years of experience in the financial industry, proficiency in SQL, and the ability to travel 20–25% to client sites across the United States and Canada. The position is part of Charles River Development, a State Street team creating enterprise investment management software including State Street Alpha.

Required Qualifications

  • basic understanding of the entire CRIMS offering
  • basic proficiency in Investment Solutions or Technology
  • at least 2 – 3+ years of hands-on experience gained in the financial industry working for a consultancy or software vendor
  • Experience supporting or implementing investment management solutions within a bank, hedge fund, asset manager or wealth management firm
  • Experience with order management and compliance solutions
  • Experience with middle-office workflows, security life cycle events, corporate action processing, daily position reconciliation
  • Experience with post-trade workflows, trade confirmation via matching platforms, such as, CTM, TradeNeXus, etc.
  • Looking for candidates with Business Systems Analyst experience/skillset
  • Proficiency with SQL
  • Four (4) year degree in a business or technical field such as Finance, Mathematical Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Computer Science
  • 2-3+ years experience
  • The ability to travel to client sites throughout the United States and Canada as well as the ability to work effectively when remote from clients
  • Travel of 20 – 25% is typical but may exceed that at any given year

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with investment management solutions within a bank, hedge fund, asset manager or wealth management firm
  • Experience with order management and compliance solutions is especially valuable
  • Experience with middle-office workflows, security life cycle events, corporate action processing, daily position reconciliation
  • Experience with post-trade workflows, trade confirmation via matching platforms, such as, CTM, TradeNeXus, etc.
  • Knowledge of multi-tier technical architectures, messaging systems, and relational database structures
  • A strong record of customer service
  • Team player who shares knowledge and experience openly
  • Takes initiative to keep other team members informed by contributing to “Best Practices” library
  • Mentor less-experienced colleagues while leveraging the expertise of more-experienced colleagues
  • Must be customer driven, be able to work within a team environment, and be focused on providing a high quality of service to the customer
  • Strong time management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Analytical thinker who can decompose complex issues into components and perform root cause analysis
  • An advanced degree or industry certification such as the CFA
  • Experience supporting or implementing investment management solutions within a bank, hedge fund, asset manager or wealth management firm
