Job Summary
Consultant role supporting gender-affirming care initiatives within Mental Health & Addictions. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating evidence-based health promotion, prevention, and early intervention strategies; providing leadership, consultation, and expertise; fostering collaboration with national, Atlantic, provincial, district, municipal, and community partners; and contributing to health services planning and workforce development. Requires strong analysis, policy development, and communication skills, with preference for experience in research methods, policy development, and languages (French). Bachelor’s degree required; minimum five years of related experience in 2SLGBTQIA+/gender-affirming care initiatives. Permanent, full-time, 75 hours biweekly, with hourly compensation of $39.23–$49.12.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in health related discipline (Health Promotion, Public Health or Health Education preferred)
- Minimum five years related experience
- experience in supporting 2SLGBTQIA+/gender-affirming care initiatives which inform policy changes and to develop programs aimed at promoting health, and enhancing population health outcomes
