Job Summary
Analyze, design, develop, test, implement, and maintain IT solutions by creating or modifying software applications that support business functions. Lead medium to large projects or complex issues requiring broad perspective and in-depth analysis, while developing policies, procedures, and best practices. Advise and provide direction to junior professionals within a technical environment utilizing multiple system platforms. 5% domestic travel to offices and conferences; telecommuting permitted. Requires 7 years of experience with JavaScript, Node.js, Python, and microservices, plus expertise in distributed systems, NoSQL databases, and container orchestration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 7 years of experience in a software engineering role
- Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in a software engineering role
- Demonstrates a depth and breadth of expertise within a discipline
- Deep understanding of the business, financials, products/services, or market
- 5 years of experience with JavaScript
- 5 years of experience with Node.JS
- 5 years of experience with Python
- 5 years of experience with Rest API
- 5 years of experience with JSON
- 5 years of experience with Distributed and Concurrent Systems
- 5 years of experience with Multithreading
- 5 years of experience with Asynchronous Programming Model
- 5 years of experience with Event-Driven Programming Environment
- 5 years of experience with Microservices
- 5 years of experience with Performance and Scalability concepts
- 3 years of experience with NoSQL Databases
- 3 years of experience with MongoDB
- 3 years of experience with Cassandra
- 3 years of experience with Application Caching
- 3 years of experience with Redis
- Expertise in container orchestration with Docker
- Expertise in container orchestration with Kubernetes
- Knowledge of DevOps Practices
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
- 5% of domestic travel to SS&C offices and conferences
