Job Summary
Senior consultant in Labour Relations responsible for coordinating central collective bargaining for Ontario hospitals; assists in planning for central bargaining, participates in bargaining teams, may act as spokesperson, prepares written submissions for interest arbitration, provides expert guidance on labour relations and interpretation of collective agreements, and coordinates provincial committees arising from central agreements. Requires strong negotiation, analytical, research, facilitation and presentation skills, along with the ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Hybrid work arrangement: 2 days in office and 3 days remote.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in a related discipline
- Demonstrated related work experience in labour relations and knowledge of hospital collective agreements
- Knowledge of collective agreements, proposal costing, and benefit plan administration would be an asset
