Job Summary
Experienced Infectious Diseases Consultant needed in Abu Dhabi to diagnose, treat, and manage a broad spectrum of infections, lead antimicrobial stewardship programs, and collaborate with ICU, internal medicine, surgery, and microbiology teams. The role includes inpatient and outpatient consultation, participation in infection prevention and outbreak management, and contribution to teaching, audits, research, and quality improvement while ensuring compliance with DOH Abu Dhabi regulations and hospital protocols. Required MBBS or equivalent, Board Certification/Fellowship in Infectious Diseases, valid DOH license or eligibility, and 5–7 years of post-specialist experience in a tertiary/academic setting. Preferred exposure to outbreak management and ICU ID consultation; research publications are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi
- Board Certification / Fellowship in Infectious Diseases (American Board, UK CCT, Canadian Board, or equivalent)
- Valid DOH Consultant License or Eligibility Letter in Infectious Diseases
- Minimum 5–7 years of post-specialist experience in a tertiary care or academic hospital
- Strong experience in managing complex infectious disease cases and antimicrobial stewardship
