Consultant, Group Retirement Practice

Job Summary
Understand client needs, priorities, and culture while developing strategic relationships with key account contacts. Oversee the complete retirement plan service cycle, including plan design review, provider search, implementation, reporting, pricing negotiations, and governance. Communicate industry trends to prepare clients for long-term planning and deliver presentations to clients, lead meetings, and conduct one-on-one employee sessions. Resolve escalated administrative, contractual, and financial issues with clients and maintain positive relationships with insurance partnerships. Keep CRM up-to-date and identify new opportunities for the retirement practice. This role may be based out of Vancouver or Burnaby.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education
- Completion of (or working towards) related courses in group benefits (CEBS, GBA designations)
- Life Insurance (LLQP) License or willingness to obtain
- 5+ years of Employee Benefits Insurance Experience
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office knowledge, with focus on Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- 2-5 years of relevant experience
- Up to 25% travel
