Job Summary
Consultant Gastroenterologist role in Dubai/UAE requiring MD with board certification in Gastroenterology and minimum 5 years post-qualification experience. Responsibilities include comprehensive GI assessment and management, advanced endoscopic procedures (upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, polypectomy, ERCP if applicable), interpretation of imaging and labs, inpatient/outpatient consultations, multidisciplinary collaboration, on-call duties, patient education, maintaining compliant medical records, contributing to quality improvement and patient safety, and training junior staff. Ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced, multicultural clinical environment and stay current with gastroenterology advancements.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent)
- Board certification in Gastroenterology
- Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in gastroenterology and endoscopy
- Proficiency in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, fast-paced clinical environment
- Must hold or be eligible for Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) licensing
