Consultant Data Engineer

Job Summary
Conduct client projects and build internal Sia AI solutions by designing cloud architectures on GCP, AWS, and Azure; develop Python server-side tools and ETL scripts for Big Data environments; and manage Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, automate application deployment, and ensure security through certificate management and OAuth2 authentication. Collaborate with the French Data Engineering team to deliver data and AI solutions that support machine learning model provision. Requires a Master's degree in quantitative fields, 1-3 years of DevOps or cloud experience, and fluency in English, Dutch, and French.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree with a strong quantitative component (e.g. Econometrics, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Finance)
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in Data, DevOps, Cloud or Software Engineering
- Good level in Python
- Solid foundation in other languages
- Familiarity with at least one SQL DBMS (ideally PostgreSQL)
- Ideally noSQL (ideally MongoDB)
- Excellent English, Dutch & French verbal and written skills
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with at least one cloud services platform (GCP, AWS, Azure) with experience mixing different services within the same project
- Strong appetite to learn more about cloud services topics
- Comfortable using Docker
- Automating CI/CD pipelines
- Strong appetite for gaining competence in Kubernetes
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Mastery of the Gitlab-CE ecosystem
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code concepts and tools (ideally Terraform)
- Experience in implementing application protection solutions (certificate management, HTTPS security, OAuth2 authentication, credential management)
- Strong interest in data and AI-related topics
- Ability to quickly build expertise in data and AI areas
- Excitement about helping clients seize opportunities
- Excellent interpersonal and team working skills
