Job Summary
Consultant in Critical Care Medicine with expertise in liver and/or kidney transplantation leading the ICU team for transplant patients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (transplant surgeons, nephrologists, hepatologists, anesthetists), performing advanced ICU procedures (invasive monitoring, mechanical ventilation, renal replacement therapy, hemodynamic support), ensuring compliance with international best practices and DHA regulations, participating in clinical research and quality improvement, and providing on-call consultations across ER and transplant units.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with completed residency in Critical Care or Internal Medicine
- Fellowship or subspecialty training in Transplant ICU / Critical Care Medicine
- Board-certified (e.g., UK CCT, American Board, Canadian FRCP, or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years of post-fellowship experience in transplant-related ICU care
- Valid license or eligibility for DHA Consultant classification
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus
