Job Summary
Conduct end-to-end contract administration for high-profile construction projects by reviewing plans, specifications, and contracts to validate equipment, materials, and subcontractor services. Perform monthly site inspections, assess construction progress, and manage payment certification while analyzing change orders for reasonableness. Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers to prepare tender packages, resolve scope gaps, and finalize contract accounts. Manage client relationships to drive contract renewals, referrals, and service expansion while maintaining transparent communication through project meetings.
Required Qualifications
- degree or diploma in Architecture, Construction or Civil Technology, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Science, or a construction related field
- professional accreditation such as PQS, CIQS, RICS membership
- hands-on construction industry expertise
- experience in estimating/quantity surveying, contracting, procurement, and scheduling for commercial development projects
- strong knowledge of CIQS standard method of measurement, both elemental and trade
- knowledge of provincial lien acts
- knowledge of CCDC standard contract conditions
