Job Summary
Consultant, Corp Governance with Northern Trust focuses on Corporate Governance & proxy voting, engaging daily with a 3rd party global proxy vendor and managing vendor relationships to uphold KPI standards. Responsibilities include monitoring risk areas, provisioning updates for clients, Investment Managers, and Third-Party Vote Agents; analyzing overvote scenarios; ensuring prompt resolution of proxy voting and governance issues; maintaining departmental databases; and disseminating market changes in voting procedures. The role requires strong proxy-voting or corporate event processing experience, familiarity with governance directives, ability to work under pressure, excellent client-facing communication, and capability to work both independently and within a small team; occasional calls/meetings outside Australian hours to liaise with global proxy teams.”,
