Job Summary
Content Specialist to lead digital acquisition, activation, and retention for FarmerChat across Africa. The role will be preferably based in Nigeria, with shared ownership and learning across Kenya and Ethiopia, and is described as a short-term consultancy (6 months) with possibility of extension or transition to a full-time role. Responsibilities include owning content strategy and lifecycle marketing across channels (push notifications, in-app journeys, WhatsApp/SMS), designing onboarding and activation journeys, running A/B tests, defining segmentation and triggers, and collaborating with regional teams to localize campaigns. The role also covers social media and content growth, measurement and learning systems, and maintaining a consistent brand voice across touchpoints. Requirements emphasize 3-4+ years of growth/content experience, digital marketing funnel expertise, proficiency with marketing automation (MoEngage preferred), excellent regional-language writing, and a data-driven, experimental mindset.
Required Qualifications
- 3-4+ years of experience in growth, product, or performance content
- Strong understanding of digital marketing funnels and lifecycle marketing
- Experience with MoEngage, or marketing automation platforms (preferred)
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills in regional languages
- Data-driven mindset with experimentation experience
