Job Summary
Conduct initial client consultations and assess financial situations for consumer insolvency services. Administer formal insolvency appointments including bankruptcies and proposals while preparing BIA documentation such as Statements of Affairs and 170 Reports. Analyze financial records and develop relationships with referral sources including credit counsellors and lawyers. Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to debtors and maintain high quality control by anticipating key risks. Maintain flexibility to travel as necessary. Requires 4+ years of insolvency experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. Salary range $52,000-$82,000.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of insolvency experience performing initial client consultations and assessing financial situations
- Strong understanding of financial concepts, especially assets and liabilities, with an analytical mindset
- Comfortable using technology and quick to learn new tools—you're tech-savvy and have a strong inclination toward digital solutions
- Strong communication skills—you're comfortable speaking with people in sensitive situations and can explain complex topics clearly
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently when needed
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills—you keep things on track even in a busy environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools like Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of insolvency-related courses (e.g., Insolvency Administration or BIA Insolvency Counsellor) is an asset
