Job Summary
Desk-based inside adjusting role focusing on Motor Truck Cargo and Motor Truck Physical Damage claims; expects handling of time-sensitive transportation losses, complex claims, and interaction with shippers, loaders, carriers, and vendors. Requires knowledge of Carmack Amendment exposure, transportation contracts, policy coverage and related statutory frameworks; responsibilities include investigation, valuation, disposition, settlement, reserving, and clear communication of claim status to partners and management. Hybrid/remote work with Hartford, with office presence three days a week for nearby office locations (Hartford, CT; San Antonio, TX; Lake Mary, FL; Sunrise, FL; Scottsdale, AZ; Alpharetta, GA; Naperville, IL); benefits and wellbeing programs described in detail in the posting.
Required Qualifications
- College degree or minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience handling Motor Truck Cargo and/or Motor Truck Physical Damage claims
- State required adjusting licenses
- Commercial insurance experience required
- TRIP, AMIM, CCPAC, AIC, CPCU, CCP and/or TRS designation preferred
- Experience with handling time-sensitive transportation losses involving perishable or temperature-sensitive cargo preferred
