Consultant Child Psychiatrist

Job Summary
Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for children with mental health and behavioural conditions, including ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, anxiety, and trauma-related issues. Develop individualised treatment plans and manage medication where clinically indicated while monitoring response and side effects. Conduct detailed clinical assessments, risk evaluations, and collaborate with paediatricians, psychologists, and allied health professionals in multidisciplinary case discussions. Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. Work closely with parents and caregivers to provide education and therapeutic guidance. Requires Arabic fluency, a recognised medical degree, postgraduate qualification in Child Psychiatry, and Consultant-level licensing in the UAE.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree from a recognised institution
- Recognised postgraduate qualification in Child Psychiatry / Psychiatry
- Consultant-level clinical experience in Child Psychiatry
- Experience exclusively or predominantly focused on paediatric mental health
- Eligibility for Consultant-level licensing/classification in the UAE, subject to the relevant health authority requirements
- Arabic speaker – mandatory
- Strong experience in the assessment and management of childhood psychiatric and developmental conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children and their families
Desired Qualifications
- International or Western clinical experience is an advantage
