Job Summary
Consultant Cardiologist with a special interest in Coronary Intervention at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust. The post involves performing coronary interventions, contributing to the Primary PCI on-call service, and providing general cardiology duties including ward work and clinics. The role supports development of the service's academic potential to back the new Medical School and to promote an academic ethos; involvement in research projects is encouraged. Strong emphasis on demonstrating clinical knowledge, evidence-based practice, and ability to contribute to education and training within a large NHS trust.
Required Qualifications
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
- Higher professional training in Cardiology
- MRCP (UK) or an equivalent qualification
- Evidence of appropriate experience in Coronary Intervention
- Entry on GMC specialist register via CCT (proposed date within 6 months) or CESR
