Job Summary
Adviser or Senior Adviser in KPMG Australia’s Business Advisory/BPO team supporting payroll, bookkeeping and tax compliance for a diverse client base across industries. Role is client-facing with opportunities to expand technical knowledge of tax and accounting, delivering high-quality services, meeting deadlines, and maintaining productive client relationships. Requires a generalist skillset with a broad focus and the ability to work as part of a team, research issues for client queries, and communicate professionally in a corporate environment. Flexible hours/locations are mentioned as part of the working approach; the role is described as in-person in Melbourne, VIC.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ bookkeeping experience
- Strong knowledge of payroll preparation and employer obligations
- Experience working in a corporate environment with numerous clients with different requirements
- Excellent knowledge of Xero, preferably with Xero certification
- Experience in tax compliance (BAS and IAS preparation) preferred, but not a requirement
- Ability to work as part of a team, assisting other team members when required
- Ability to research issues that may arise, in order to respond to unique client queries
- Attention to detail and ability to proof own work is paramount; and
- Professional communication skills appropriate for a corporate environment
- Tertiary education essential. Enrolled in CPA/CA or equivalent preferred
