Consultant - Automation Tester - FSI

Job Summary
Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications while building and enhancing automation frameworks using industry-standard tools. Analyze requirements and user stories to create effective test plans, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, and identify defects for collaboration with developers to resolve issues. Perform root-cause analysis for automation failures, optimize scripts for reliability, and prepare detailed test reports and dashboards. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, grooming, reviews, and retrospectives. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth, reliable releases by reducing manual testing effort and improving overall product quality through strong automation practices within a globally dedicated consultancy environment.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium
- Proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#
- Experience in API test automation using REST Assured, Postman, or Karate
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions
- Familiarity with Git and test management tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, or TestRail
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Understanding of BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow
- Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, Locust)
- Containerization knowledge (Docker, Kubernetes)
- ISTQB or similar QA certifications
