Job Summary
Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality, user-centric automation and AI-driven tools to support engineering and design workflows across the APAC region. Collaborate with engineering delivery teams to translate business requirements into effective software solutions, while learning, maintaining, and enhancing existing automation tools. Document software solutions and create user guides and tutorials to ensure effective use of developed tools. Communicate effectively with delivery team members, presenting technical concepts in an accessible manner. This role supports both project-specific engineering applications and enterprise-wide automation goals within Aurecon's Vietnam-based digital team.
Required Qualifications
- Strong background in software or web development
- Proficiency in languages such as Python, C#, or JavaScript
- Demonstrated experience in AI and machine learning
- Familiarity with engineering documentation and design workflows
- Ability to translate engineering documentation and design workflows into scalable digital solutions
- Proficiency in engineering software, including Autodesk platforms (Revit, Civil3D, AutoCAD)
- Proficiency in general automation tools such as Power Apps and Power Automate
- Ability to work independently on complex automation challenges
- Contribution to broader digital transformation initiatives across the APAC region
- High level of English language proficiency
- Tertiary education in Engineering or Computer Science
- Equivalent course in advanced programming
- 3+ years of experience in a programming language
- High level of English (both speaking and writing), including presentation skills
- Experience working with engineering design and documentation software
- Experience in software development best practices, including version control (Git), code reviews, and testing
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms, APIs, and data integration
- Familiarity with Autodesk software and APIs, including Revit, Dynamo, Civil3D and AutoCAD
- Experience in web development and deployment
- Familiarity with design engineering and Building Information Management (BIM) principles (ISO 19650)
- Familiarity with other engineering design software, including MicroStation, Grasshopper, 12D Model, etc.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to work under minimal supervision
- A proactive approach to learning new technologies and methodologies
- Enthusiasm for challenging problems and upskilling
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- A commitment to continuous improvement and professional development
