Job Summary
Mainframe Support Engineer responsible for monitoring and supporting production Mainframe environments, troubleshooting job failures and abends, managing batch jobs with CA-7/Control-M, handling ServiceNow tickets and CNTLM, coordinating during production incidents, and providing shift-based support with extension during critical issues. Requires 6+ years of hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, IMS DB, CA-7, and Control-M; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; familiarity with ServiceNow, CNTLM, and cross-functional collaboration. Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in Mainframe technologies with a minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience
- Strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, IMS DB, Control-M, and ServiceNow
- Monitor and support Mainframe production environments, ensuring high system reliability and uptime
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve job failures, abends, and performance-related issues
- Execute and manage batch jobs, and resolve scheduling conflicts using tools such as CA-7 and Control-M
- Work on ServiceNow ticket handling and CNTLM-related activities
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to respond effectively to business/user queries
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams during production incidents and critical situations
- Flexible to work in shifts and extend support during critical production issues or escalations
