Consultant- Architectural Engineering

Consultant to join Rimkus’s Built Environment Solutions team. Partner with project teams to support design, assessment, and construction of building projects across commercial, residential, and industrial sectors. Conduct site assessments on rooftops, ladders, lifts, scaffolds, and mechanical/electrical spaces; review product submittals, samples, mock-ups, testing reports, and technical documentation; interpret current and historical building codes and standards; provide technical expertise across architecture, engineering, construction, or related disciplines; support projects involving building assessments, upgrades, maintenance, restoration, and new construction; collaborate with internal and external teams to manage budgets and client relationships; communicate effectively with stakeholders; work independently with solid judgment and critical thinking. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, building science, or related field and 3–6 years of experience in building design, assessment, or construction; EIT or PE designation is a plus. The salary ranges from $83,000 to $124,000 and includes benefits and opportunities for advancement; physical demands include office and client-site work with potential overtime. This is a full-time position based in New York, NY, with benefits including health, retirement, life insurance, PTO, and work-from-home options in the package.
