Job Summary
Consultant Anaesthetist role leading perioperative and emergency anaesthetic care across a regional WA hospital. Responsibilities include pre-operative assessment, general/regional anaesthesia (including spinal, epidural, nerve blocks), complex airway management, acute and post-operative pain management, obstetric anaesthesia (epidurals and emergency caesarean sections), trauma resuscitation, clinical governance, teaching and supervision of junior medical staff, and service development within a growing regional centre. Opportunity to contribute to regional critical care, be part of redevelopment of ED/ICU/HDU, and participate in education and simulation programs while working in a supportive, collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
Required Qualifications
- Fellowship of ANZCA (FANZCA) or equivalent
- Eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- Substantial postgraduate experience in hospital-based anaesthesia
- A collaborative, adaptable approach suited to regional practice
- Specialist International Medical Graduates (SIMGs) are welcome to apply
