Job Summary
Acoustical consultant role focused on environmental noise assessment across industrial and transportation sources. Responsibilities include characterizing noise sources, estimating sound levels, developing environmental noise propagation models, conducting environmental sound measurements with sound level meters, traveling to project sites for ambient surveys, evaluating noise mitigation strategies, reviewing local/state/federal noise regulations, and preparing clear technical reports for project managers, clients, and stakeholders. The position offers structured mentorship, technical training, and opportunities to work on projects across technology, manufacturing, energy, water, and infrastructure sectors. Requires a B.S. or M.S. in a related STEM field and 2+ years of relevant experience; travel is involved, and hybrid work arrangements are supported in multiple U.S. office locations.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. in Engineering, Physics, Acoustics, Environmental Science, or related STEM field
- 2+ years of relevant experience in industrial noise control, building acoustics, or environmental programs (NEPA, CEQA)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
