Job Summary
Promote the Carter BloodCare mission by recruiting, managing, and maintaining relationships with sponsor organizations to achieve successful blood collection events. Retain current accounts, develop new accounts, and build strong relationships with blood drive coordinators through regular personal interaction, face-to-face sales calls, and education. Plan and provide ongoing support to ensure sponsors host productive blood drives while maintaining complete and accurate sponsor account information in electronic Customer Relations management software. Travel to conduct face-to-face calls, attend seminars, workshops, and events, and visit other blood centers. Work varied hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with availability during blood drive events and schedule demands. Manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously while meeting aggressive timelines and collection goals.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work varied hours, evenings, weekends and some holidays
- Must be available during blood drive events or when schedule demands
- Must be able to travel and conduct face–to-face sales calls with potential sponsors of blood drives
- Regular full-time attendance is required during normal working hours
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales or marketing
- Ability to walk, stoop, bend, lift, and carry equipment weighing up to approximately 15 pounds
- Normal vision requirements
- Ability to clearly speak, hear, and write
- Must be computer literate
- Ability to travel (including by air) to periodically attend seminars, workshops, training, events, and to visit other blood centers to enhance knowledge and skills
- Required to meet collection goals by organizing successful, efficient blood drives
- Required to be on time for meeting appointments, make presentations before internal and external groups, and perform cold calls
- Experience with handling sensitive issues relating to customer service provided by CBC
- Ability to experience and overcome rejection
- Must be comfortable working in a goal driven environment
- Always maintaining donor confidentiality
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating self-initiative, taking responsibility/ownership of decisions and actions
- Ability to use systematic approach to define and solve problems
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be available for weekend shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred) or equivalent experience
