Job Summary
Review project plans and specifications to develop detailed cost estimates, performing quantity take-offs for labor, materials, and equipment. Collaborate with the sales team to understand client needs, providing technical guidance during presentations and assisting in negotiating contracts. Present estimates to clients, address concerns, and follow up on bids to close sales while gathering feedback. Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing, staying informed on market trends and competitor offerings. Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, applying analytical skills to identify value engineering opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction estimation
- Proven experience in generating and closing sales within the construction industry
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift) and CRM tools
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field
- Relevant certifications in construction estimation or sales
