Job Summary
Review project plans and specifications to develop detailed cost estimates, performing quantity take-offs for labor, materials, and equipment. Collaborate with the sales team to understand client needs, present estimates, and assist in negotiating contracts to secure new business. Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing while staying informed on market trends and competitor offerings. Follow up on submitted bids to close sales and gather feedback for future estimates. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering and 3-5 years of experience in construction estimation with a focus on sales.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction estimation
- Proven experience in generating and closing sales within the construction industry
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Proficient in estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift) and CRM tools
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
