Job Summary
Roofers repair, maintain, and construct roofing for commercial and residential buildings. Roofers typically work on construction sites and must manage work at height while applying safe construction practices. Responsibilities include repairing or maintaining roofs, thatching or specialist repair of old materials, filling leaks with cement, installing solar panels and insulation systems, proposing project timeframes and budgets to customers, and restocking materials. Must follow health and safety rules and monitor weather conditions to protect the job site, with emphasis on choosing appropriate materials for the job and delivering work on schedule.
