Construction Worker

Measure distances from grade stakes, drive stakes, and stretch tight lines while bolting, nailing, and aligning under forms. Signal construction equipment operators to facilitate alignment and adjust machinery to conform to grade specifications. Level earth to fine grades using pick and shovel, mix concrete with float and trowel, and position, join, and seal pipe sections. Erect scaffolding, shoring, and braces; spray materials through hose to clean, coat, or seal crevices. Grind, sand, or polish surfaces using abrading tools and perform tasks involving dexterous use of hands, such as demolishing buildings, sawing lumber, and cutting insulating materials. Work outdoors at heights and travel as needed while following all safety rules and maintaining relationships with co-workers.
