Construction / Underground Utilities Estimator

Job Summary
Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for underground utility and heavy civil construction projects by reviewing plans, specifications, and contract documents. Perform quantity takeoffs for sanitary sewer, storm sewer, waterline, excavation, grading, and related site work. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes while developing project budgets and cost analysis. Collaborate with project managers, field personnel, and leadership throughout the bidding process, attending pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed. Identify value engineering opportunities and potential project risks. Requires 3+ years of estimating experience, strong knowledge of underground utility installation, and proficiency with HCSS Estimating Software.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction or underground utilities
- Strong knowledge of underground utility installation, earthwork, and site development
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Experience with HCSS Estimating Software and Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines
- Experience with bid projects on ODOT, City or County
