Construction Traveling Superintendent

Job Summary
Lead all field operations from project startup through final completion and owner turnover, developing schedules and coordinating daily subcontractor activities to ensure efficient workflow. Champion a culture of safety by conducting inspections, resolving hazards, and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and site-specific plans. Monitor project progress to maintain schedule commitments while managing labor, equipment, and material resources to support budget objectives. Ensure work adheres to contract documents and quality standards through regular inspections and corrective actions. Maintain accurate project documentation and collaborate with project managers, owners, and consultants to resolve field conflicts and design challenges. This assignment requires extended travel and temporary relocation to project sites for assignments typically ranging from 12 to 18 months.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of construction supervision experience on commercial construction projects
- Demonstrated ability to successfully lead commercial construction projects from groundbreaking through completion
- Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, quality control, safety regulations, and project documentation
- Proficiency with construction management software and mobile field technology
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel extensively
- Ability to relocate for project assignments lasting approximately 12 to 18 months
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of healthcare or medical facility construction experience
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Design-build project experience
- Experience managing projects across multiple states and jurisdictions
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
