Construction Training Manager

Job Summary
Lead the Construction Training and Certification Program for Technical Field Advisors, developing curricula for mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation installation of gas and steam turbines. Partner with Engineering, EHS, and Commissioning teams to align training content with project execution needs and ensure all personnel are technically competent and safety-focused. Administer the Competency Assessment Matrix, track certification records, and deliver technical training sessions via classroom, virtual, and field-based formats. Develop Standard Operating Procedures and software-based training tools using Microsoft Office and SharePoint. Report to the Project Manager of PMO Training & Certification. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, 10+ years in construction or engineering, and 3+ years in people management. Includes up to 25% domestic and international travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BS) in Engineering
- Technical diploma from college or university
- Minimum of 10 years' related experience in the field of Construction or engineering
- Experience with EPC power projects
- Experience with developing project drawings, procedures, and documents
- Strong organizational and supervisory skills
- Minimum of 3 years in people management experience
- Experience in people management and development as a first line Supervisor/Manager
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Proficient in Microsoft Word
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint
- Proficient in SharePoint
- Electronic mail proficiency
- Comfortable working with developers to establish reporting, tracking and job history information systems associated with sitework
- Valid and current driver's license
- Passport
- Ability to regularly stand and walk

Desired Qualifications
- International business experience
- Minimum of 3 years in people management experience preferred
- Multilingual in Japanese and/or Spanish
- Power BI skills
- Experience working with Copilot 365 is preferred
