Job Summary
Construction Technician needed to support pipeline construction and maintenance across the United States. Responsibilities include shipping, receiving, and unloading materials; operating power tools such as drills, grinders, torches; gathering MTRs; performing red line reviews and working with internal/external engineering; assisting with ordering welding consumables; managing inventory of coating materials; operating equipment to off-load trucks; maintaining small equipment certification logs; compiling project binders and documentation; assisting crew leaders with obtaining documentation, qualifications, and procedures; supporting constructability reviews, safety, and regulatory compliance; cross-training with the project planner and aiding in quotations and engineering data; and other tasks to support the program. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, 4+ years in a mechanical environment, willingness to travel frequently (75%), CDL preferred, pre-employment medical screening, and driving is an essential function. The role is full-time with overtime eligibility and frequent travel to other locations; SAP experience and CDL are advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4+ years of work experience in a mechanical related environment
- Valid CDL license or ability to obtain license
- Experience with SAP or computer proficiency
- Be subject to pre-employment medical screening, including drug and alcohol testing
- Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record
- Frequent travel to other company locations to support construction activities, including overnight stays
- Legal authorization to work in the country where the position is based
