Job Summary

Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic network infrastructure by digging with trenching equipment, pulling cable through conduit, and relocating conduit and fiber. Remove and replace hand holes, vaults, and fiber markers while repairing damaged underground plant. Accurately locate and mark existing underground cables based on Sunshine One-Call tickets to protect infrastructure during excavation. Assist with cable damage restoration and troubleshoot network systems to minimize service disruption. Ensure full compliance with OSHA safety standards and maintain a professional demeanor in residential and commercial settings. Maintain assigned vehicle and dress in approved clothing. This field-based role requires physical stamina to lift 75 pounds, climb ladders up to 28 feet, and work outdoors in all weather conditions. Candidates must be available for a 24/7 operation including mandatory overtime, after-hours, and weekend work.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum of 1 year of telecommunications construction experience
  • Familiarity with fiber optic cable installation, conduit work, and underground plant maintenance
  • ability to construct small networks for MDU and public spaces using off-the-shelf solutions
  • valid driver's license

  • ability to drive during nighttime and in adverse weather conditions
  • ability to pass a standard background check
