Job Summary
Conduct construction survey and layout for heavy civil projects, including dams and embankments, using total stations, GPS, and robotic tool stations. Perform field data collection, topographical surveys, and construction stakeouts while calculating heights, depths, and terrain characteristics. Prepare sketches, maps, reports, and as-built surveys, and assist with survey computations, grade sheet analysis, and project data transformations. Maintain 100% integrity and professionalism during all fieldwork and business interactions. Requires 2-3 years of land surveying experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience with land surveying
- Field work experience
- Current proficiency operating a robotic tool station, GPS, and level
- AutoCAD experience
- Knowledge of geological description principles and methods
- Knowledge of applicable laws, legal codes, and government regulation
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
