Job Summary
Conduct concrete layout, staking, and formwork verification while performing general project layout and QC compliance checks across large commercial sites. Calculate Trimble station points, set controls using AutoCAD, and coordinate embed, hold-down, and penetration layouts. Support estimating with quantity take-offs, constructability reviews, and scope coordination, then collaborate with trades on concrete lift drawings and formwork design. Perform routine field inspections to support the QA/QC program, document quality issues, and communicate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors. Utilize robotic total stations, optical levels, GPS equipment, and data collectors to execute daily tasks. Requires 5+ years of surveying experience, valid driver's license, and OSHA 10 certification.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in surveying
- 5+ years of surveying experience
- Solid working knowledge of concrete systems, formwork, and shoring
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- OSHA 10
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's in land surveying or civil engineering
- Civil 3D or MicroStation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam, Navisworks, or BIM360
- State Licensure (FS/PS)
- GPS experience
- OSHA 30
- Physical ability to climb stairs/ladders, work on active construction sites, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
