Job Summary
Conduct concrete layout, staking, and formwork verification while performing general project layout and QC compliance checks across large commercial sites. Calculate Trimble station points, set controls using AutoCAD, and coordinate embed and penetration layouts. Support estimating with quantity take-offs and constructability reviews, then collaborate with trades on concrete lift drawings and formwork design planning. Perform routine field inspections to support the QA/QC program using robotic total stations and GPS equipment. Document quality issues and communicate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors. Train crew members as needed and maintain a valid driver's license for active construction site travel.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in surveying
- 5+ years of surveying experience
- Solid working knowledge of concrete systems, formwork, and shoring
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- OSHA 10
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's in land surveying or civil engineering
- Civil 3D or MicroStation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam, Navisworks, or BIM360
- State Licensure (FS/PS)
- GPS experience
- OSHA 30
