Construction Surveillance Technician I

Job Summary

Assess security policies, identify threats, and draft incident reports for government agencies. Manage uniformed escort personnel, enforce Standard Operating Procedures, and inspect materials delivered for secure space construction. Photograph and continuously monitor construction activities to document steps for final accreditation packets. Complete required safety training and CDSE STEPP ICD 705 course within the first 30 days. Requires an active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.

Required Qualifications

  • 1 - 2 years related experience
  • Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts towards 3 years exp.
  • Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts towards 5 years of experience
  • Maximum equivalent experience for SPED Certifications is no more than 5 years
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (4 years)
  • Must have an active Secret clearance to start
  • Willing and able to obtain up to a TS/SCI with Counterintelligence polygraph
  • Complete additional safety training and/or certification as required by local site (i.e., OSHA 10 Construction Safety, OSHA Fall Protection and OSHA Confined Space) within the first 30 days of hire
  • Must obtain CDSE STEPP ICD 705 Physical Security Construction Requirements for SAP course completion within the first 30 days of hire
  • Verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable on Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 (on SCIFs and compliance with uniform IC physical and technical security requirements)
  • Bachelor's degree is desired and counts towards 4 years of experience
  • Associates degree counts towards 2 years of experience
