Job Summary
Construction Surveillance Technician role at Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) supporting critical construction activities at the North Logan, UT campus. Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures for the construction site, continuous surveillance of personnel on the secure project site, identifying and documenting anomalies, inspecting construction materials/packages/tools/vehicles for prohibited items per the Construction Security Plan, generating daily logs and incident reports, and ensuring security protocols across high-priority projects. Requires U.S. citizenship with an active government security clearance (Top Secret preferred), HS diploma or equivalent, knowledge of blueprints/building plans, understanding of construction practices, strong independent problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic, detail-oriented environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen and possess an active U.S. Government security clearance (Top Secret (TS) clearance is preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- General knowledge of blueprints and other building plans
- General understanding of construction practices
- Ability to work independently to identify, assess & report unique security situations with innovative solutions geared to facilitate contract performance within the bounds of security requirements
- Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on clear and cogent presentation of complex information
- Ability to manage time, make sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems, and provide focused solutions
- Must have a professional demeanor, good people skills, ability to communicate effectively, and be able to perform in a multi-task, dynamic environment
- Demonstrates attention to detail in a large, complex environment
