Job Summary

Actively watch and escort non-cleared construction workers while denying the introduction of prohibited materials such as explosives, weapons, or electronic devices. Conduct random inspections of all site areas and bags to ensure no contraband has been brought onto the federal government construction project. Keep daily logs, photos, and write incident reports as needed, then report all anomalies and incidents of counterintelligence nature. Handle various other duties as assigned. This temporary position requires a Top Secret clearance and at least five years of experience in construction security surveillance, with the ability to work a consistent full-time or part-time guard schedule including most weekends.

Required Qualifications

  • Top Secret Clearance
  • At least 5 years of experience in construction security surveillance, technical surveillance countermeasures, industrial or government security involving counterintelligence
  • Able to work a consistent full-time or part-time guard schedule
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite
  • Must be able to work workdays and most weekends
  • Knowledge of all construction disciplines, to include civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and electronic engineering principals
  • Shall be capable of reading and analyzing designs and blueprints, and recognizing the architects intended use
  • Shall be capable of analyzing designs and structural complexities, which are intended to mask an ulterior purpose not intended by the architect
  • Shall have knowledge of Technical Surveillance Countermeasures, construction principles, and the types of devices used by hostile and friendly intelligence services for the purpose of clandestine surveillance
  • Ability to become thoroughly knowledgeable of the customer's security procedures and the level of security required in various parts of each facility under construction
  • Must be able to write detailed reports in English and complete the analyses of issues, findings, and security situations which require staff action
  • Shall be capable of independent decision making, possess a high degree of individual initiative and be able to function with minimal supervision
