Job Summary
Oversee all aspects of construction field management and inspection for transmission lines and substations in Massachusetts, directly supervising Transmission Construction Representatives and collaborating with Project Managers, Engineering, and Contract Administration. Manage project costs, productivity, and schedules while ensuring compliance with environmental programs, policies, and regulations. Direct safety awareness initiatives and monitor contractor performance to meet quality standards. The role includes system-wide on-call responsibilities and potential emergency restoration assignments outside normal hours. Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5–10 years of construction experience with knowledge of transmission power systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Applied Science, Engineering, Finance, Business, or the equivalent
- A minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years of construction, maintenance, or related experience
- Experience in Energy Delivery and transmission
- Supervisory experience of both non-bargaining unit and bargaining unit employees
- Detailed knowledge of transmission construction
- Thorough knowledge of applicable work practices and procedures, and safety requirements
- A detailed knowledge of transmission power system operations, maintenance, and construction
- Good human resource management and business planning skills
- A working knowledge of information technology and the use of Eversource's office automation and information systems
- Good written and oral communications ability
- Must hold a valid motor vehicle driver's license
- Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required
- Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Energy Delivery and transmission experience is preferred
- Supervisory experience of both non-bargaining unit and bargaining unit employees is preferred
