Job Summary
Construction Supervisor to oversee staff and subcontractors performing civil maintenance on lease pads, access roads, gathering facilities, and rehabilitation/construction sites in Queensland. Responsibilities include ensuring safety is priority, compliance with QGC policies and HSSE requirements, conducting regular safety actions and audits, coordinating with the Construction/Project Manager, liaising with landowners to secure consent, providing technical input to plans, maintaining schedules and reports, and managing contractor performance and training matrices to deliver safe, efficient, and compliant site operations.
Required Qualifications
- Experience supervising staff and contractors in civil maintenance
- Knowledge of HSSE requirements and safety management systems
- Ability to liaise with Construction/Project Manager and landowners
- Experience conducting safety audits and contractor compliance checks
- Strong planning, budgeting, and reporting skills
- Ability to manage schedules and daily construction/rehabilitation operations
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Understanding of regulatory and corporate policies (QGC/Shell) related to land access and construction
- Emergency response preparedness
- Training and development planning for technical skills
