Job Summary
Oversee multiple construction sites and daily activities for telecom fiber optic projects, managing foremen and crews while ensuring strict adherence to plans, specifications, and local codes. Maintain build-out schedules, approve timecards, and perform quality control duties including digging, material delivery, and site inspections. Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and customers to verify work completion and mediate disputes, while ensuring all team members meet safety standards and company policies. Assist in training new crew members and maintain daily job-site logs. This full-time role requires a valid driver's license, ability to operate utility trucks, and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years telecom experience
- 1-3 years of experience as a construction foreman
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Possess a valid driver's license or be eligible and willing to obtain the required license for the position
- A good driving record is required
- Basic knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment in a safe manner
- Basic knowledge of and ability to hand tools and equipment in a safe manner
- Class A Commercial Driver's License is a plus (Higher wage scales apply to CDL holders)
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, etc
- Willing and able to work in all weather conditions
- Must have a good understanding of aerial and underground construction for OSP Fiber/Telecom projects start to finish
- Able to perform all duties in telecommunication construction
- Ability to travel
