Job Summary
Manage a $5 million to $50 million project from inception to completion, overseeing subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to ensure safety, schedule, quality, and cost targets are met. Apprise project management of progress, issues, and concerns while controlling cost baselines and maintaining schedules through resource allocation and three-week look-ahead planning. Provide direction to the Project Engineer, handle close-out documents and final inspections, and implement safety guidelines and continuous process improvement. Work outdoors in extreme conditions, operate mechanized equipment, and handle up to 50lbs of materials. Average 50 hours per week with flexible scheduling; eligible for a monthly auto allowance.
Required Qualifications
- five to ten years' experience as a Superintendent or a Construction Manager
- demonstrated ability to lead and supervise your employees
- proven successful project history of maintaining quality, schedule, safety, and actual cost versus estimated cost
- ability to effectively manage field staff by appropriately staffing projects, providing formal and informal evaluations/feedback, addressing employee issues, and providing appropriate training and mentoring
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- willingness and ability to relocate to Ross Group project sites, typically located throughout the South and Midwest
- ability to work flexible work hours, with an average of 50 hours per week or as needed
- physical ability to work outdoors in extreme conditions such as cold, heat, and humidity on a regular, daily basis
- ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs when necessary
- ability to control mechanisms or provide direct physical activity to operate machines or processes
- ability to operate, maneuver, navigate, or drive vehicles or mechanized equipment on a regular, daily basis
- ability to stand, climb, bend, and stoop on a regular, daily basis
- ability to use hands and arms to handle, install, position, and move materials and manipulate items when needed
- ability to use visual and auditory skills
- eligibility for a monthly auto allowance

- ability to demonstrate the appropriate level of job knowledge based on work experience and make timely decisions using sound and accurate judgment
- ability to identify problems, gather and analyze information, and make appropriate recommendations to make your project successful

- ability to be flexible, well organized, and detail oriented, using efficient time management skills to meet project deadlines and schedules

- working knowledge of computers and scheduling software programs/theories
