Job Summary
Construction Superintendent for luxury custom residential projects in Marion County, FL. Lead day-to-day field operations from sitework through certificate of occupancy, coordinating subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and consultants; maintain project schedules, identify potential delays, and conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets plans, specifications, and client expectations. Manage homeowner, architect, and designer interactions; maintain jobsite safety, cleanliness, and organization; coordinate material deliveries and long-lead procurement; conduct subcontractor meetings and report project status to ownership; track progress with accurate daily reports. Requires 5+ years of superintendent experience in residential construction and experience building custom homes valued at $2M-$10M+, with a strong understanding of luxury finishes (millwork, stone, tile, cabinetry) and the ability to read construction documents. Must coordinate multiple trades in occupied or highly visible environments and demonstrate strong communication and relationship-building skills; stable employment history with increasing responsibility. Relocation assistance may be considered. Location: Marion County, Florida (Ocala area). Does not involve production homebuilding.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Superintendent experience in residential construction
- Experience building custom homes valued at $2 million to $10 million+
- Strong understanding of luxury finishes, millwork, stone, tile, cabinetry, and high-end residential details
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents
- Experience coordinating multiple trades in occupied or highly visible environments
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Stable employment history demonstrating increasing responsibility
